Auto Care USA has been fixing cars in the Greater Houston area since 1988. They have four shops, ASE-certified techs, a 2-year/24,000-mile nationwide warranty, and real reviews from customers who keep coming back.
But for years, their digital presence was quietly working against them.
Not because anyone was lazy. Because the agencies they hired before us were optimizing vanity metrics instead of fixing foundational problems. And those are not the same job.
At The Hub, we see this constantly. Small businesses delegate their marketing to unqualified staff, or they hire volume-based agencies that focus on generating bloated reports rather than doing the unglamorous, unbillable detective work required to actually fix a broken system. Here is how we turned Auto Care USA’s broken digital footprint into a fully automated, AI-driven machine that captures, routes, and retains revenue.
They Were Competing Against Themselves — Literally
Here is what we found on day one: Auto Care USA had two live websites on two different domains.
A previous agency had decided the old domain wasn’t working, bought a new one, built a new site on it—and then just walked away from the original. They never redirected it. They never took it down.
So both sites sat in Google’s index, fighting each other for the same searches. Every backlink, every citation, and every bit of authority the business had built since 1988 was split down the middle. When someone in Katy searched “auto repair near me,” Auto Care USA’s two sites were bidding against each other for the same customer. Worse, the abandoned site had outdated hours and stale service information.
That is not an SEO problem. That is a revenue problem wearing an SEO costume.
- The Fix: We consolidated everything onto one canonical domain.
- The Method: We mapped and 301-redirected every URL from the abandoned site so its authority flowed to the live one.
- The Result: One site, one authority profile, and one set of accurate information.
The Fake Latin Nobody Noticed for Years
We need to talk about the lorem ipsum.
If you have never seen it, lorem ipsum is scrambled pseudo-Latin that designers drop into a layout as a placeholder. It exists so a designer can see how a block of text looks before the real copy is written. It is not supposed to ship.
There was fake Latin filler text sitting on live pages of Auto Care USA’s website. Published. Indexed. Visible to every customer who scrolled far enough. Think about what that communicates. A customer is about to hand you their car—a $30,000 asset they need to get to work tomorrow—and they are reading gibberish on your website.
Nobody caught it because nobody was looking. The reports were being generated, the invoices were being sent, but nobody had actually read the website.
We threw out the fake Latin. We rewrote every page in the client’s own voice across 37 pages, including 24 individual service pages and 4 location pages. No filler, no fluff.
The Login Scavenger Hunt Nobody Wants to Run
Auto Care USA’s digital assets were scattered across accounts nobody could access. Google Business Profiles for four locations sat under old email addresses. Facebook pages were tied to a former employee’s personal account.
This is extremely common, and it is extremely boring to fix. That is exactly why most agencies skip it. It requires filing Google verification requests, tracking down former managers, and sitting on hold with domain registrars. None of it produces a chart for a monthly meeting. All of it has to happen before anything else works.
If your agency owns your Google Business Profile and your domain, you do not have a marketing partner. You have a landlord.
We recovered and verified all four Google Business Profiles. We tracked down and transferred Facebook page access out of personal accounts. We consolidated every login into one place the owner controls—not us, them.
The Ultimate Tekmetric Integration: From Lead to Lifetime Customer
With the foundation solid, we built out a 37-page site structured around how people actually search. But the biggest transformation happened behind the scenes.
Before we got involved, Auto Care USA had one generic contact form on the entire website. Every submission landed in a single inbox belonging to the owner. If the owner was under a car or in a meeting, that lead sat. The lead wasn’t lost to bad marketing; it was lost to a routing problem.
Auto Care USA runs Tekmetric, a serious shop management platform. They were paying for it every month, but the website had no connection to it. The front door of the business and the system that runs the business were total strangers. Your front desk receptionist is great at answering phones. Stop making them manually re-type customer data into your shop system.
We built a seamless, end-to-end integration that puts their customer lifecycle on autopilot:
- Location-Aware Lead Routing: Each shop manager is notified the moment someone requests information for their specific location. Speed to lead beats almost every other lever you can pull in local service businesses.
- Automated Client Creation: We push these web submissions directly into Tekmetric, automatically creating client accounts. No more manual data entry. No more re-keying phone numbers.
- AI-Triggered Review Requests: The moment a customer checks out and pays in Tekmetric, our system automatically fires off a review request to their phone and email.
- AI Reputation Management: When those glowing 5-star reviews come rolling in, our AI automatically generates and posts a personalized, professional response. This keeps their Google Business Profile highly active and signals to search engines that the business is hyper-engaged.
- Long-Term Follow-Up Sequences: The service doesn’t end at checkout. Our system can automatically follow up with customers. To remind them about oil changes, tire rotations, and seasonal prep, driving predictable repeat revenue without a human lifting a finger.
Human Strategy. AI Velocity. Zero Corporate BS.
Most businesses we talk to are running multiple platforms at a fraction of their capability. Before we recommend spending another dollar on anything new, we audit what is already on the books.
Stop playing hide-and-seek with potential customers, and stop paying for bloated tech stacks that do not communicate with each other. Your marketing stack shouldn’t cost this much, and anyone who simply knows how to turn on a PC shouldn’t be running it. Welcome to The Hub.
At My SMB Marketing Hub, we offer an all-in-one solution. We replace the need for piecemeal marketing tools by giving smart local businesses everything they need under one roof. We make your existing software work harder so your team doesn’t have to.
